SEO for Albanian businesses: 7 steps that actually work
You don't need an agency at €2,000 a month to be found on Google. You need these seven things, done properly.
SEO (search engine optimisation) sounds complicated, but for a local business in Albania 80% of the result comes from a few basics. Here they are.
1. Google Business Profile, 100% complete
Free and the most important for local searches ("near me", "in Tirana"). Exact address, hours, real photos, the right category, and, above all, reviews. Ask every happy customer for one.
2. One page per service
Don't put all your services in one paragraph. "Family law", "Property law", each gets its own page, with a clear title and 300+ words of useful content.
3. Titles and descriptions
Every page has a title tag and a meta description. Write them like ads: what you offer + where + why you. Example: "Rent a Car Vlora: cars from €25/day, no deposit".
4. Speed and mobile
Most searches in Albania happen on a phone. If the site is slow or looks bad on mobile, Google ranks you lower and the customer leaves. Test it with PageSpeed Insights.
5. The customer's language, not yours
People search "how much does a website cost", not "digital solutions development". Use the words your customers use when they call you.
6. Content that answers
A blog with one article a month answering a real customer question ("How long does it take to register a business?") brings traffic for years. Quality over quantity.
7. Links from other sites
Get listed in local directories, partner with other businesses, write for local media. Every serious link to your site is a vote of confidence for Google.
How long does it take?
First local results: 4–8 weeks. Stable results: 4–6 months. Anyone promising "page one in a week" is either lying or using techniques that will cost you later.
